Plateau govt to support youth’s empowerment initiatives .

THE Plateau State Government has pledged to support any business initiative geared towards youth’s empowerment.
Governor Simon Lalong stated this when the Managing Director THLD International Limited a liquid and gas conversion company, Mr. Olusegun Olatuwan paid him a courtesy call at Government House, Rayfield, Jos.
Lalong who was represented by his Deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden explained that the arrival of the company was timely as the three tiers of government were committed to empowering the youths to make them self-reliant.
The governor who described the business initiative as timely, noted that their intention to empower the youths in the state through training was most commendable.
He assured of government support to the success of the partnership and look forward to the practical implementation of the programme and said the choice of Plateau to experiment pilot project was a pointer to the fact that peace has returned to the state.
Earlier, Managing Director THLD International Logistics Limited, Olusegun Olatuwan had informed the governor that the company was into liquid and gas transportation and that their products were tailored towards client specification.


Olatuwan who disclosed that the company was wholly Nigerian, said that they plan to introduce a tricycle in Jos that would accommodate 8 passengers and a driver which would be powered by the new technology using Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
He explained that coversion of automobile and generation plant from Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automobile Gas Oil (AGO) powered engine to LPG and CNG was safe and affordable.
Also contributing Business Development Manager of the company, Marek Nowankowski disclosed THLD would establish a factory in Bassa Local Government of the state to create employment opportunities for teeming youths and commended government for giving them the opportunity to transfer knowledge to the youths for self-reliance.
