PLSG eulogizes late Arthur Kehinde

GOVERNOR Simon Lalong of Plateau State has described the late Pa Arthur Ayo Kehinde, a successful business man in Jos as a complete gentleman who would be remembered for his service to God and humanity.
Lalong made the remarks at the funeral service of the deceased held at Saint Luke’s Cathedral, Jos, Friday.
Represented by his Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden, the governor said the late Pa Kehinde was an
epitome of humility, hard work and a committed Christian who had added value to the socio-economic value of the state.
Lalong urged sympathizers to see the occasion as a moment to praise God for someone who has lived a fulfilled life.
The governor, while describing death as a critical moment that every believer must draw lessons from however advised Christians to be mindful of life after death, adding that the deceased would continue to be mourned by all.
In a sermon, Anglican Bishop of Jos, Most Rev. Benjamin Kwashi said death has remained a mystery to mankind and urged believers to make their ways right with God.
Bishop Kwashi who took his reading from the Book of John Chapter 11 verse 33 advised Christians to believe in the reality of death noting that it was time for them realize what will determine their lives here after, the better for them.
According to the cleric, the deceased was a devoted Christian who was one of the founding members of the diocese and has encouraged the training of the younger ones in the Lord’s vineyard.
Speaking on behalf of the family, son of the deceased described him as a man of integrity who was full of love for the family and impacted positively on the lives of many.
He thanked the Plateau State government for the support shown to the family and all those who have identified with them at the moment of grief.
The late Pa Arthur Kehinde who hails from Oyo State was survived by a wife, Fummilayo, 14 children and 40 great-grand children and was buried in Jos according to Christian injunctions.
