Some residents of Ossisa, a community in Ndowka-East Local Government Area of Delta are currently holding the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Festus Ovie Agas hostage, The Punch reports.
Agas is being held hostage over the killing of three members of the community by suspected herdsmen.
The SSG and his convoy were held down at about 6:55am along the Ughelli-Asaba express on Monday.
The protesters were yet to disperse as at 8:30am despite the huge presence of security agencies.
The herdsmen had attacked the community over the weekend killing three people in the process.
